menstrual cup users- I need advice

I used to have a mooncup but didn't use it often as it always seemed to leak.
Eventually got rid of it.

Recently bought a lunette as a replacement as I wanted to give it another go and this leaks too!

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong :-(

It's definitely open. Have tried positioning it differently but nothing seems to help.
Any ideas or have I just wasted another £20?

Marking my place as I'm interested in the Mooncup too. But I always felt uncomfortable about putting something up there.

Is it full-ish when it leaks?

Is it the correct size? Does it leak all the time or just on heavy days?

What size did you get? I had a mooncup and after about 4 years it started to leak. bought another brand and it still leaked. Then realised perhaps I had crossed the age barrier (was about 31 I think but no kids) so reluctantly bought the bigger size mooncup. No leaks, good conclusion. But honestly the idea of my saggy old vagina depressed me more than all the grey hairs I was sprouting. :-(

There used to be a really good long FAQ page on the mooncup website where they answered a ton of questions from users, I bet there are a bunch on there about leaking. Additionally did you know there are other 'folds' than the one in the instructions for getting it up there in the first place? That may help get a better seal.

I got the bigger size. Have had a look through their FAQ and user guide but I can't see anything I haven't already done

I've taken up cycling and dancing, which have strengthened my pelvic floor... (I wear it while dancing even when not on period, to help stress incontinence) this has really helped stop the leaking

Sorry I can't help as haven't had any problems with leaks (stealth boast!) - just for others thinking of getting one, I think they are brilliant and wish I had changed over from tampons sooner.

It leaks all the time and when take it out there is hardly anything in it :-/

Are you putting it up too high?

Can you feel the suction when it is in place for example I would not be able to pull it out at all without screaming so I know it is definitely in place and doesn't leak.

Well, I thought I might have had it too high but when I try and position it lower the stem sticks out and the website says it shouldn't protrude.

You may need to cut all of the stem off.

Can I post my mooncup problem too?

My moon cup usually drops down, and although it doesn't fall out it feels really uncomfortable. I think my insides are just to saggy to hold it in place :-(

I'm sure it used to stay up. I'm not sure if I need to buy a new cup.

I had to cut the stem off entirely. I reckon you have it too high and need to do the same....

OP cut the stem off as much as possible. I hardly have any stem left and the right position for me is that everything is just inside with nothing sticking out.

I had to cut the stem off mine too. Also agree with putting it lower than you think, complete opposite to tampons.

I love my mooncup- my flow has decreased, no flooding, no leaks.

There has been the odd occasion where it feels like it has disappeared and I have practically been elbow deep trying to break the seal on it to get it out. You laugh afterwards(!)

Ok I cut the stem off. Have had 4 attempts this morning and it still leaked every time. I think I might email them.
