Anyone had treatment for a low libido?

I've had some bloods tests done and the results indicate that I may have to have a 'testosterone' 'implant' of some sort as I've a non-existent sex drive. Has anyone else had this or similar treatment?

I've lost mine quite long while ago (as results of long illness)
never come back so I'm just giving up at the moment, but the reason for it: my situation is much more complicated which I suspect leaded to non treatment

Good luck with yours

Aww, thanks for your reply whatdoyourelyknowaboutufo - I'm sorry to hear about your illness & it's such a frustrating situation to be in as it is, it's not great is it? There's the pressure & guilt - I do hope you find some kind of help or treatment. It's been a long time coming for me, trust me, I've gone through a few channels & back again, but finally I think I'm getting somewhere! Hopefully now for me the drs can see that it's not pyschological, as they are always too quick to assume & now see it as a physical problem! My body needs treatment!

Don't give up, I've felt like it many times ( in fact felt like it today after day I've had!) but I've just had to push on. Hoping one day things will be better. Tomorrow has to be a better day than today anyway!

What I'm so sorry
I'm going to be brutally honest with you
there is a lot of medicines to treat your problem!
Your doctor lied to you or could not be bothered to treat you the proper way

Whatdoyou

I think your doctor is liar!!

I'm interested in this thread. My libido is basically non existent. I saw a GP about something else and mentioned it and she said I should address it. I was surprised as I thought it would be something GP's wouldn't bother with.
I am on hormonal contraception though and perhaps that is the cause.

I never knew they could even test or treat this. When I went to the gp about non existent libido they referred me to a sexual psycologist. Even though it wasn't helpful and didn't work.

I'm 55 and mine took a complete nose dive 18 months or so ago. I'm wondering if it's worth going to the GP or if it's part and parcel of being post-menopausal.
