ds has a slight cough, and i know they say nothing will rid it, it'll pass over 2 weeks but any old wives tales , anything.
its not bad but i just want to anticipate it getting worse.
no other symptoms.

We normally give DS a spoonful of honey, which seems to "damp" it down.

Or failing that a large Jemmy, no ice.

Tell him he is too little for it, it is only for big boys, that should work.

Second Sherlock but mine is a honey and lemon drink. You could put it in a favourite beaker/sports bottle/fruit shoot bottle

going to make it up for tonight and he'll prob sip whilst half dozey if he has a coughing fit.

How old is he? Long steamy soak in the bath. Inhalation. Plenty of herbal tea. If they have trouble breathing through a blocked nose, GP told me to cut an onion in half and leave it on a bedside table overnight. Does seem to work but I don't know how it works.
