Asthma and hayfever

Feeling rough since last week after burst of nice weather and then rain. Feel tired, wheezy, bad sinuses and coughing, with a runny nose and post nasal drip. Got prednisone for docs yesterday and taken eight tablets this morning. Never had them before, but hope to get some relief, but so far nothing.
Anyone had any similar experiences?

Yes!

I suffer from both - was in hospital for 5 days at the end of April due to a bad attack.

I'm now prescribed cetirizine in the morning for hay fever.

Was also told to use my spacer for taking inhalers, taking one dose of my rescue before my steroid one, as it opens the airways, so more effective.

Have been good since - although can really tell if I skip doses

This year feels worse somehow!

When I have had prednisolone it took the second dose to kick in

Thanks. I will try the spacer as I think that might help. It's so horrible isn't it? I've not had typical hayfever with runny eyes sneezing etc, just this tight chested wheeziness. Had inhalers for years and not had anything like this for a Long time.
