Psoriasis making exercise impossible

I've had psoriasis for >10 years now. I have a lot of patches all over, but I have some good creams that keep the itchiness at bay, so it mostly doesn't bother me too much.

My issue is with sports, as every time I try to increase my activity levels, I end up making my psoriasis worse. I either exacerbate old patches or (worse) create new ones. My psoriasis is the sort that a new patch never goes away.

Horse riding (my favourite hobby) causes new patches on my legs and bum. Long walks or runs cause my ankles to chafe. Racquet sports give me patches on my palms. Swimming is out as the chlorine makes things worse all over.

Does anyone have any advice?

I don't but I do have lots of sympathy

Have you spoken to the GP about UV therapy? A friend had this and it made quite an improvement.

Psoriasis is the worst, you have all my sympathies.
