Help!! collecting urine in a bag

Help, my doctor has given me a plastic bag with a hole in it (the hole is surrounded by sticky stuff)

Do I stick this to her....????? Ouch, won't it hurt when I pull it off..??? Do i put a nappy over it?

Doesn't help the only size they had was newborn and she's nearly a year old!

Yes you do stick it to her, I have to do regular urine collections for my son.. & yes its hard to pull it off after, it goes a bit red but they soon get over it...... I doubt you will be able to use the newborn though? give it a try? then after, once the wee is in there, there is a bit on the corner you pull off & then put into a bottle... Yes, after you do it you loosley put on the nappy till she does the do!!
Oh, one other thing....... put her in the bath first & clean her really well.as any germs can contaminate the sample & lead to them thinking she has a urine infection when maybe she hasent & then running all sorts of nasty tests etc....

Well that was a complete disaster - not once, but twice! The newborn size fell off straightaway so had to go back to doc's to pick up a bigger one they had managed to find. Put that on, and ten minutes later - runny poo, all in the bag. So, now what. Do I have to follow her around with a jar until she wees...!?

Oh Dear !!! Its a nightmare isent it. to get a fresh catch in a pot is hard. my little one was in hospital a few weeks ago & they needed a fresh catch- I was on willy watch for about 4 hours !!!!!!! ask for another bag maybe? then wash her again & give it another try!
Yes life as a mum is very hard sometimes ! The jobs we get are great- NOT !!
