Have finally thrown in the towel and retreated to bed as not got physical energy to continue at the moment Hmm

About a month ago I started experiencing dizzy spells. They were intermittent but I would feel really tired after an episode and would need to lie down.

Since then things have become increasingly worse, my vision is a bit blurry at times and I also feel a bit wobbly and uncoordinated.

No headaches or earaches though (I swim a lot so pondered this as a cause)

Other things I have noticed (which in isolation would probably go unnoticed)

Irregular periods (I'm 43)
Restless legs
Wakeful at night (usually sleep very well)
Dry skin with a few scaly patches (?chlorine)
Shitty hair
Nails splitting
Slightly breathless feeling (lungs feel slightly 'bruised')

The main problem is the dizziness though as this has definitely progressed over last week or so and I feel totally drained.

I'll be lucky to get a GP appointment Tuesday so not sure how long I'll have to wait to see someone.

Is this just general old age creeping in? Am I on my last legs? Grin

Iron-deficiency anaemia (diagnosed through blood test) caused my dizziness, restless legs, tiredness and poor skin. But the actual aneamia can be a symptom of other illnesses so go to your GP for a check up (full blood tests).

Could it be labyrinthitis? www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Labyrinthitis/Pages/Symptoms.aspx

Get your thyroid tested as well while you're there.
