Scared by blood test letter

Doctor sent me for a long list of blood tests because I feel exhausted and achy.

Got home to a letter saying I need more :- Protein Electrophotesis and Immunoglobulins. I am waiting for a call to actually discuss the results.

Any ideas? Dr Google lists scary diseases that run in the family. I'm convinced I have cancer or liver faliure.

Maybe he didn't find anything wrong in the tests you've already done, and wants to try a few more tests to rule other things out?

Impossible to know, but try to stay away from Google!

I can't stay off Google. They don't seem like normal tests. Wish they would call with the previous results.

Maybe he just forgot to add them on.

They are specialist but fairly common tests. The only way to interpret them is to know what your GP was worried about in the first place. It sounds like you have a good GP who is being very thorough which is great news for you.

Google will not help you here. You can only understand the tests if you have the whole picture and all the other results which google doesn't have. Please try to leave it alone but I know it's very hard.

Well slightly high white blood cells so want to retest. Said probably just down to a cold.
