Gynaecologist appointment,what to expect?

I've been referred to a gynaecologist by my GP, appointment is Friday and just wondering if anyone can tell me what to expect?

Multiple UTIs, lots of pain, possible pelvic inflammatory disease, bleeding/pain after se etc.

I'm assuming an internal scan, anything else that could be involved? I've never seen one before, just wondering what to expect really!

Transvaginal ultrasound - don't worry too much it doesn't hurt at all. I also had an examination similar to a smear at my initial appointment.

Thank you, I know I shouldn't be worried but I've been prodded and poked down there way too much in the past and I bloody hate it
