Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times. Done a search but can't find the exact answer.

My ds had his 1st bout of vaccinations today. He's been crying really hard which isn't like him. We gave him a 2.5ml dose of calpol an hour after injections, and another 2.5ml dose 5hours later.

So my question is if he's unwell again in a few hours is he allowed more? The instructions say 2 doses then consult doctor but just wondering if anyone else has dosed more than this.

He wasn't an early baby and was last weighed 2 weeks ago and is over 12lbs

Thanks in advance for any answers

so sorry your little one did so poorly with his shots - how is he now?

I think the dose is once every 6 hours/4 times in 24 hours. So another dose, suitably spaced, should be fine.
You know the cause of the discomfort, so unless you think there are other complications, I reckon you can go ahead with the dosage on the packaging.
Hope your lo feels better soon.
