I'd try the rescue remedy, perhaps the whole bottle?

Have you tried nibbling raisins or other healthy carbs every couple of hours to keep your sugar levels level? Maybe even a good hijuice squash with no sweetener?

Flamesparrow · 01/09/2006 10:42

Yup - drink gallons of the stuff, and chamomile tea. Put a fruity teabag in with the chamomile if you don't like it on its own.

I was there on Wedsnesday... not fun

Starflower is great too.

Not a quick fix, but taking 2 capsules of Boots Evening Primrose Oil for 3 months worked wonders. I can now get through the run up to a period without shouting at my children!

Rescue remedy is basically alcohol...

A friend of mine suffers the most awful PMT - she takes 1000mg of Evening Primrose every day through her cycle and swears by it.

I also think that regular exercise helps - even if its just 20-40mins brisk walking in the weeks before...

good luck

I get awful PMT as well, and have found comfort in a large glass of wine or two at that time of the month!
Not suffering at the moment as I'm expecting, but I don't know what's worse - sometimes I would glady swap the constant tiredness and tearyness for a bit of PMT
Have you tried vitamin B6 supplements from 10 days before you're due on? These helped me, when primrose oil didn't seem to make much of a difference - but I guess everyone's different!
I do sympathise though, it can be hell on earth Good luck!

rescue remedy will help with immediate 'eruptions's misdee. I take Agnus Castus (herbal tabs from Holland and Barratt) and it has certainly calmed my pms down. But if in doubt, chocolate and/or wine works just as well
