GERD? Or something else?

Last week I went to do the dentist to start my root canal treatment. I was givin a course of amoxillcian (can't spell!) to take for 5 days. I have always have trouble swallowing anything bigger than iburofen 200mg, even harder with caspules as I cannot break them in half.

Probably due to anxiety of trying to swallow the capsules without freaking out or choking, I began to start excessively swallowing and felt like the capsules were getting "stuck" or not going down properly.

My course of anti-biotics ended Tuesday but I am still swallowing excessively (which after a few swallows in a row becomes hard to do), on top of that I am also belching constantly, and feel I have something stuck in the back of my throat/neck. It makes eating & drinking (swallowing) uncomfortable as I think I'm going to choke or get stuck which just increases my anxiety.

I'm also worried if something has gone down my airways.

Am I overreacting? Is the GERD? Or just my anxiety taking over?

I just have to swallow and I "sense" it.

Now it's making me gag and physically want to throw up.

It could be either unfortunately as I have found out, why don't you check in with your gp for some reassurance?
