Me and my youngest 2 dc have had a traumatic afternoon. After a lovely few hours at the beach, it all went pear shaped on the way back to the car in the public toilets.
Dd, 3 years old was in the middle of having a wee when Ds, 4, decided to do a runner and managed to get out the main door. As I went grab hold of him, dd had finished and followed me. Course I didn't realise this until too late and as I rushed into see to her, I bloody slammed the door on her toe
. There was blood so I wrapped it in tissue and got home ASAP.
Now we are back and it's rinsed off, I can see that I've ripped off her entire toenail! It's clean and we have sort of bandaged it to protect it and will pop her up to docs in morning. Or should we go to out of hours tonight?
Poor thing is exhausted and has had some calpol. God I feel terrible. In the stress of chasing Ds, it didn't occur to me she could be behind the door. It must be so painful
