Hello. I had a thread recently about bleeding when I poo sometimes from my vagina. Since then I had a scan which was clear and blood test to check thyroid. at the time I was also on the pill so doc suggested coming off and seeing if it was the pill causing it. I have done this and it has continued to happen so I went back to docs last Friday and she said to be safe would fax an urgent referral to hospital. She did say they may receive it and think its not urgent but i'm now left not knowing and very worried. My question is should I ring gp surgery and chase it or just hang on. I realise there can be a long wait which I dont mind but the symptoms have been going on since December so if there is something dodgy goibg on, the sooner I get seen, the better.

I had mid cycle bleeding (was also on the pill). Mine was found to be caused by fibroids.

sorry just seen you had a scan. Was it a transvaginal ultrasound?

hi hilda,Yes they did both. Doc said there could be a polyp too small to see. Also I have a history of endometriosis which she said it could be but I have never had breakthrough bleeding, particularly triggered by pooing. we did talk about cancer and she said I might need a hysteroscopy and biopsy which is why i'm worried about how long to wait before I chase.
