Horrible disgusting varicose veins!!!

Hi,
I am 34... And I have the most disgusting varicose veins on my left back knee (to be precise)
They are blue lumpy and horrible.., now the warm weather is setting in I'm starting to panic mildy!!!

Does anyone else have these? Do you care? Have you tried to have then fixed with various surgeries? Just interested..

I have just ordered some horse chestnut gel- but I know it's not really going to do anything..

I have just got to my pre pre pre pregnancy size and lost 5 stone.. I haven't been this slim since I was about 8 years old... But now I feel I can't even wear a skirt unless I am wearing thick black opaque tights...

Ok... So I know it's not life and death, there are certainly much more serious important things in the world than my veins.. I just feel shit. Want to wear lovely clothes but feel I have a summer of maxi dresses amongst me!!!

Any tips??

No advice really I have the same problem. I think barring surgery there isn't much of a solution. I don't wear shorts or skirts anymore thankfully in the uk we only get two sunny days a year!

Yup I've got a nasty varicose vein that means I can't wear dresses above the knee. in winter I get away with opaque tights but summer I've been wearing leggings under skirts.

When I was pregnant I got measured for support tights though I was told they were more of a placebo. The midwife suggested if I cried in a Drs appointment they might refer me for surgery but I think the success rate is pretty low. Plus I'm not very good at crying Wink
