1st period after baby- normal?

I've had (i assume) my first period since I had my son 10 weeks ago. Lasted barely 3 days and was basically black- no fresh blood or clots or anything. Is this what it's meant to look like?

I did have what I described as spotting rather than a 'period'. A bit of brown old blood type mucus. Not much of it & only lasted 2-3days. It was about 10-11 wks as far as recall. Had proper period 1 month later.

i think sometime you can have a period before you ovulate for the first time post birth, amybe thats what it was?

my first period (approx 8 weeks after birth) was dark and yukky
no fresh blood either - so i think it must be normal

either that or we are both freaks ;o)
