This is my first post so please help me.
My background: I'm 31years old and have two fab children aged 2.5 and 13months, and a super supportive hubby.
Back in November I underwent the recotcele repair which at my 6 week check was holding up well and my consultant was very pleased.
Fast forward to now:
I'm getting that heavy dragging sensation again so called my consultant thinking oh god it's failed.
So went to see him and again he was really pleased that the op hadn't failed so big relief there. However I have a second prolapse of the uterus/womb
.
He asked me if I'd finished with having my family, I said for now yes but he said who knows what the future holds and I'm young - fair point.
He said that he would be inclined to leave it unless it interferes with my life, well surly that's why I went back as something was uncomfortable?! (But didn't say that) he said that he would be happy to operate but it would be a subtotal hysterectomy - WHAT surely that's a last resort?!
Unfortunately I was so convinced it had dmfailed and gone armed with questions relating to that I left the consultants room having not asked any questions relating to this prolapse.
My mum has recommended seeing her consultant as she had the same and didn't need a hysterectomy.
I'm feeling very confused and emotional about the whole thing so going to ring for a second opinion on Monday but would really like to go armed with appropriate questions etc.
Sorry it's long and thank you for reading
