Random pins and needles

I've begun waking up in a morning with pins and needles in my right thumb and fingers. I'm not laid on it.
It soon passes but occasionally happens during the day and can come on at any time.

I'd rather not Google it.
Any ideas?

My friend gets this with her carpal tunnel.

Hm. It's strange you mention CTS.
About 12 months ago I had dreadful pain in my right wrist.
I struggled to get an appointment with the doctor. You have to phone at 8.30 and I'm a childminder which makes ringing anywhere at a specific time a problem when you have 2 x 1 year olds, a 3 year old, plus a couple of 5 year olds to get to school!
Anyway, I bought a wrist splint and some Co-codamols and after a few weeks it disappeared.

I wonder?

Could be then, she has more trouble at night than during the day with it.
