DD hot, red, bleeding ear?

DD aged 10 her ear has got worse over the last 2 days. It's on the cartilage part not the lobe. 3/4 of her ear is red, hot, weeping & bleeding. The pharmacist said it could be a bite infected. A Dr is coming to the house as we have an out of hours GP service that's free. ( I'm not in the UK). It's strange as she has had the same thing happen before a few months ago but this looks worse.

Sounds like an infection. My DH had cellulitis after an insect bite once and it has happened two or three times since that first time. He now keeps some ABs in the house so he can start them ASAP.

Thanks. Still waiting for the Dr but I expect we will get an antibiotic cream. We have a bad storm outside so I might have to get a prescription in the morning as it's getting late now.

Dr had just been. It is an infection. She has got Bactraban antibiotic cream. Just got to see how it goes tomorrow as she may need oral antibiotics.
