What should temp of 3 week old be?

My dd has been "off" for a few days (she is 2.7yo) and tonight my 3 week old ds has been very irritable, i am really paranoid he is going to start with it now (dd has had temp of 38.9) as obviously i can't give him calpol to bring a temp down.

Anyone know what normal temp is for newborn?

Between 36.5 and 37.5 at a guess.Get dr if above 38 as babies can't control temps as well as bigger folk.
You can strip him and tepid sponge his hands and face if you need in the meantime,but don't let him get chilled.

Have you taken his temp? NHS Direct on newborn temps here but you call them if you're worried.
