Long story, short version - pain in arm for several weeks, elbow, wrist, forearm. Had a scan, bursitis in shoulder. Shoulder itself doesn't actually hurt, tho tender to touch. Had a steroid injection in shoulder on Tues, have physio booked for 2 weeks time. Today I'm going out of my mind with the pain in my arm - wrist, hand up and down arm. Just want to curl up and cry then sleep. Taking ibuprofen and paracetamol. Also having pregablin because at the same time have sciatica in opposite leg (bldy wreck.) Anyone on here had steroid injection, would it have started having a effect by now (3 days?) Painkillers doin nothing and I'm struggling with it.

Yes, I had this in my shoulder, woke up with it one morning, unable to dress myself. GP said to increase painkillers and try not to move it until fluid built up again. Wish I could be more helpful, but I think only time will cure it.

Thanks for the reply, poor you. The pain is awful today in the wrist, hand and forearm. Not sure if this has anything to do with shoulder, not convinced. Have had tests for r a and lupus but they were clear. Pain is, driving me mad. :-(
