Hi there,
Wondered if anyone can help with advice. Our gorgeous (of course) dd is 5 weeks old and has had little red raised spots on her face, scalp, neck and chest area. She has had these for 2 weeks and the doctor has prescribed her with steriod cream. Our ds had the same but they just went away. I'm reticent to use the cream, but the doctor seems to think it may be eczema and may get infected. any advice???

My dd had this too - loads of red spots in exactly the places you described. Her's started at about 5 weeks and lasted about a month - very common by all accounts, as most of the babies in my local group had them too! I didn't use anything, just water to wash her face when I bathed her. She did go on to develop eczema on the back of her knees, and for that I use diprobase.

Thanks,
I've got some aqueous cream already, will give it a try.

is it something about girls?

could it be a bit of acid indigestion? Like reflux only not severe? My sister's dd got this when she ate tomatoes before breastfeeding her, and they said it could be the acidity in her breastmilk causing it?
