I have just had a ventral mesh rectopexy but have not received any follow up appointment despite being told I would by the surgeon. Has anyone had this procedure done and if so when did you get seen again? I am not too bothered about having an appointment if I don't need it but have been given no instructions about after care apart from don't do anything for 6 weeks and take 2 laxatives a day. My main worry is if I just stop the laxatives or cut them back. So frustrating as I can't get a reply from the surgeon's secretary who keeps saying she'll get back to me and then doesn't bother. Thanks.
