Has anyone got a Braum Thermoscan ear thermometer? Why has it ....

suddenly gone from centigrade to fahrenheit? I just nearly fainted taking DD's temp, expecting it to say around 38/39 degrees (not well bless her) and it said it was 100.3 F ...
First of all I don't know how hot that is and secondly how can I turn the bloody thing back to centrigrade? There don't seem to be any switches on it and I don't know where the booklet has gone.

If you google Braun Thermoscan user guide, it will bring up a PDF file.

We have it as a shortcut on our PC but it won't allow me to cut and paste.

I think normal is 98.4 f!

We've got a braun thermoscan, but it's never done farenheit. Didn't think it did.

Mind you we stopped using that one and got a forehead scanning one instead.

I think you just switch it on and keep the button pressed it will go to oF set or oC set . Just take your finger off the the button at the setting you want. I hope this works.

Thanks for that you two.
For some reason can't get into Braun site ... hmmmm, will try again later.

Just want to get the thing back to centigrade.

Well, I've just looked at the booklet that comes with the thermoscan. I've managed to change mine. It's easy ghosty. It also gives you a guide re temperatures. Says on thermoscan normal range should be betwen 96.4-100.4 F and 35.8-38.0 C. Also says can differ from ear to ear, so you should always use the same ear. (and make sure not obstructed by ear wax!

Press and hold down the on button and then press the button you use to take the temp. If you look at the screen, you will see it change from F to C.
