My dd came home fromschool on Weds. with Nits. Treated them with lyclear and combed them through for about an hour. Spoke to her teacherand she went back in Thursday as she had been treated. Thursday washed her hair and put loads of tea-tree oil conditioner and combed through their was a few, tonight same thing but she had more. What can I do it is really freaking me out. Does anyone have any good suggestions to eradicate the evil little things.

Hi everyone just to keep you up-to-date with this riveting post. Only found 1 egg after 30 mins of combing, do you think that will be the end of them???
p.s. Sorry for being so sad!!!

How do you get eggs out of hair? DD had a dose of nits a while ago and while the beasties have moved out dead (I hope) eggs remain - they look awful though.

My dd come home from school with the nit problem today again. I've tried tea tree in the past but they still came back, I'm really fed up with this as well. I've tried everything I've been told they are now becoming super lice and tea tree now doesn't eradicate them. KPB you are not alone and i'm as desperate as you to get rid of these evil things too.

I know how you feel lars, it basically gives you the "creeps" (Ha,ha,ha) - sorry not funny!!! Good luck anyway - we seem to be getting somewhere and that is after 2 different types of treatment, tea-tree conditioner, repellant spray and combing through for 6 nights. These things are so resiliant. I was even thinking of putting my straighteners through dd's hair to fry them but as they heat to 200 degrees thought perhaps not. That's how desperate you become!
