Or had success with acupuncture at all? Am desparate to alleviate my monthly nightmare, mainly the hormonal imbalance, stress and general misery!?

I was a complete sceptic about accupunture, but my physio tried it on my tennis elbow after 4 months of physio with no success. It was fantastic. The first time I had it done I didn't get any pain from my elbow for 4 days, which after 1.5 years of pain with it was wonderful. I had one more treatment 1 week later and have had no problems ever since. I don't know if it is recommended for PMT but if it is I would go ahead and try it.

I am a convert to it's healing power

Hi, a friend of mine recently had a course for, amongst other things, PMT. She now swears by it and sails through every month!
Another friend has it twice a year to control her asthma and that also works for her.

have u tried agnus castus available in boots and i found it worked, prob not appropirate if breastfeeding. give it 3 months. i reallly felt it helped

thanks for those positive stories, will also try the agnus castus, am neither pregnant or breastfeeding so should be ok.

There is someone near me who comes highly recommended, so think I will call her when the children go back to school.

I can second that re agnus castus, liquid form is better than the tablets (it did work better for me).
I have also used reflexology to control PMT and that is the one thing that really sorted me out. I really notice it if I don't have regular sessions (and my husband is now known to say "why don't you book yourself a reflexology appt" and I know I've been murder )
