Cold or chest infection?

I've had a cold for over a week but now have an awful cough - I can actually feel my lungs vibrating when I cough.

Worth a trip to the doctor or not?

Does it feel like you have a temperature? If you feel generally better but still have the cough, might be worth trying other remedies (e.g. regular sessions over bowl of v hot water - with or without Vicks - to benefit from the steam). If you feel you're getting worse rather than better, then see the doctor.

Obviously, if you have any underlying conditions that would make shaking off the cold/infection more tricky, then definitely see a doctor.
