I seem to have lost the instructions (just checked my extensive collection of headlice treatments) but I'm almost certain that you have to wash the mousse out after 30 minutes (?) and then comb through your hair while it's wet. To be honest I would comb it with conditioner in to give it an extra chance. My experience with dd was that the mousse killed the bigger lice but didn't seem to affect the babies.

Thanks Tamum!I will keep combing and not looking at the comb for the next few weeks then, I cant bear to see them they make me ill.

Goodluck Charliecat
I spent yesterday evening doing dds, I am now itching myself at the thought of it The pharmacist told me you only need to comb down to "ponytail band" as they need to live close to the scalp to survive... yuk
DD went to school today coated in conditioner - poor thing. I think you may need a bar of chocolate after

Dry hair for 30 mins, then wash off and comb through with nit comb

Guess that's why you were after me this morning lol

charliecat · 19/03/2004 12:23

Well, im now bald! I have ripped out chunks of my hair getting the nit comb through and that was using a whole bottle of conditioner! I didnt find any more giant monster nits, like the first one, I did find 2 suspect looking bits but couldnt bear to look any closer in case they moved and i found 1 definate egg and lots of whitey yellowy balls. My poor mum is going to have to check me later and i have checked my youngest dd and will check older one when she comes in, although i did her last night in the bath and there was nothing.
Not amused, what a waste of a day!
