because German doctors mess with my head, they really do.
They make me feel all anxious and worried about ds, and prone to tears.
Whereas I saw a lovely, previously unknown, consultant paediatrician here yesterday who was all soothing and reassuring and nice and who made me feel that I can trust my instincts as a mother to know whether ds is fine at any given point in time or not.
In Germany in hospital they would say "How is he?" and I would say "quite good really" because he was smiling and feeding well and alert etc. Then they would rubbish that and tell me that he wasn't well at all, no matter what I thought.
Here, the consultant said that these signs were important and that I was right to trust my instincts.
