Epileptic seizures

Hi all, I suffer from tonic clonic fits about once or twice a fortnight, I just wondered if anyone else had this funny little side effect;

When I recover, if I don't go right to bed and sleep I'll watch something on TV instead. Feels fine at the time. Then on a normal day if I happen to catch the programme again it feels weird.... a bit like when something triggers a memory of a dream. It's hard to describe but I don't like watching it at this point.

Anyone else have weird things like this or any other odd stuff happen? I'm the only one I know with this and it'd be in interesting to hear other points of view.

It could be that your seizures are partial with secondary generalisation. That is they start in one part of the brain and then spread to be generalised. The symptoms you are describing are déjà vu which is common in seizures that start in the temporal lobe.
One fit a week is a lot. Have you been investigated and are you on the optimal treatment?

i have temporal lobe epilepsy and whilst well controlled now used to also experience very strong deja vu symptoms especially with strong smells.
