What on earth was this?

Went for a walk on Thursday evening. Shortly after I came back I felt as if I couldn't talk and felt just 'wrong' for want of a better expression. Felt a bit yucky at bedtime but got through the night with no incident.

Anyway, yesterday I woke up with a banging headache that refused to clear. Tried drinking lots, paracetamol, fresh air, nothing really helped and I felt like a dark room would have been ideal. Also felt quite nauseous. By 7 I felt a bit better, but crawled into bed at 9 feeling like death and very, very cold.

I feel a bit better today but exhausted. Have I got a virus? Was that a migraine? I am under a huge amount of pressure at work and very stressed at the moment

I think it was a migraine. Have you ever had one before?

manchestermummy · 12/04/2014 10:13

I think I've had something similar, yes, but was baffled then too!

Well my migraines affect my speech, I know what I want to say but the words don't come out. I get wibbly lines in my peripheral vision and I can only see half of everything.
That bit lasts about 20 minutes, then left with a banging headache for 24 hours.

I always get one after a stressful time has passed and I relax slightly....

Sounds like it could be a migraine.

I had one once where I couldn't say what I meant, the wrong word kept coming out.

sunbathe · 12/04/2014 10:21

And that particular one was triggered by stress.

I get migraines like that but I've had something similar recently that was 'different'. Dp also had it. I'm sure it's a virus going round.
