Has anyone been treated as an outpatient in this hospital? I have an appointment in May to see the Neurology department. I had requested Sheffield hospital as they have a brilliant reputation in neurology but there waiting list is huge so gp has referred me to Kingsmill. I am nervous as i had a bad experience with a neurologist in my local hospital and this is my second referall due to symptoms that are getting worse...

Anyone? (Thought I'd ask on MN as I know I'll get an honest opinion of the place) No one I know has even heard of the hospital [hmmm] Perhaps I am over worrying... MIL thinks I need to request referral to larger hospital with good reputation for Neurology like Sheffield Royal Hallamshire or QMC but then I'll have to wait longer...

I did see your post the other day but having no direct experience, I decided not to reply. I can however tell you that the local feeling about Kingsmill is not great. People usually opt for other hospitals if they can. I'm not sure of the reasons though.

We live midway between kingsmill and nottingham city and have had no issues at all with kingsmill when we've been.
