Really hurt my shoulder, x-Ray?

Such a daft thing, my teenage ds and I were horseplaying when he pulled my arm very hard, I felt something kind of pop. This was on Wednesday and since then I have been in agony, can't drive, can't lift or carry, can't even fasten my bra. Doubling up on paracetamol and ibuprofen helps take the edge off the pain but I'm still very incapacitated. I wonder if it's muscular or something more serious?

I'd get yourself to A and E - popping sounds like it could be dislocated to me.

Thanks frank I am just back from the minor injuries clinic. It's not dislocated but the X-Ray showed large calcium deposits in the tendon and dr thinks the pull aggravated this. I'll need to google calcific tendinitis but it seems I will e in a sling for 2 - 3 weeks at least with either physio or an operation.
