Tmi my wee smells like burning plastic

For the last about week my wee has been light in colour and smells of burning plastic. It's freezing cold when it comes out and doesn't hurt. Any idea what's causing it. I do have back ache and pains near my hips too.

U need to see the doctor...

This normally suggests ;

Infection
bad diet

But there can be other reasons too

I eat lots of fruit and veg. And my diet has not changed at all in The last few months certainly not In the last week

have you been eating asparagus?

No I don't like the stuff

Back pain and odd smelling wee - infection? Take a wee sample to your gp. Your wee is actually cold when it comes out??

Yes my wee is cold when it comes out. I've done sample ready for the doc he wanted a night one and morning one and it was freezing cold when I caught it in the tube.

If no asparagus then agree with Miranda and The Cow, in the meantime, drink plenty fluids and take some painkillers and/ or apply a hot water bottle for pain relief. hope you feel ok soon.

Definitely see the doctor. I had a vicious type of ecoli and a symptom was that my wee smelled of burning rubber. Was in hospital for two weeks and signed off work for another two.

Have googled nd cold urine can mean you're not drinking enough. Don't know how true that is though. You need to see Dr asap. Kidney infection not nice and if you have one you need antibiotics
