Period - brown blood, not red

Just started what I think is my period, except it's not like my normal periods. The blood is brown not red, more like the blood I usually get at the very end of a period. It's my first period since having the copper coil fitted, and second period since giving birth (first period was normal).

It's been like this all day, it has only been 3 weeks since my last period, but I do have PCOS so used to irregular periods.

Any ideas?

Hi, since I had the coil fitted I get brown blood for a few days pre-period then proper red blood! Apparently the coil can cause spotting before a period so this is most likely what it is.
