Repeat cold sores.

I've always had a couple of cold sores a year, one in spring and another in autumn. Think they are triggered by the change in light levels. They don't particularly bother me generally... Just one of those things.

Over the last month or 5 weeks I've had 6 though, all in different places. Theyr're really starting to get me down :( I've had this never ending cold that's doing the rounds and am feeling a bit blurgh.. It feels like I've been feeling underpar for ever and having a big scabby nose isn't helping.

I know I'm going to have to go to the dr but also know there's fuck all they can do for cold sores.

Has anyone got any tips?

I also have repeat bouts of cold sores, and had 5 at the same time before Christmas - the only thing I have found helped is taking lysine every day.

Argh. I really sympathise. I've always been a sufferer, but over the last year it's got so much worse. I'm now on aciclovir tablets as a preventative but it's a nuisance taking 4 a day and I'm still getting one every few weeks. Weirdly mine seem to tie in with ovulation and/or my period. I exercise, eat well, sleep well and do everything I should but still don't seem to thwart the fuckers! They get me very down so if anyone has any miracle cures I will be lurking!

They're a nightmare aren't they :( I will look in to lysene and see if that helps. Anyone got any experience with the light box thingymajig?
