DP is worried about DS's wonky jaw - could it be a problem?

DS is 14 months and when he grins, his lower jaw kind of slides sideways so his top and bottom front teeth don't line up at all (they do otherwise). I think it's cuuuuuuute! but this evening DP was worrying that he might have something wrong or that it could cause a painful TMJ-type problem later on. Does anyone have any experience of this? I will ask HV when I see her but that will be a while - just want to reassure/enlighten DP if I can...

has your ds only just got teeth?

both mine did this when they first got thewir teeth. ds2 does it whenever he has a new tooth actually

Weeell not exactly - DP has a quite asymmetrical face, and my eyes are different - one closes more than the other when I smile - so it's never surprised me that DS is a bit lopsided. but the jaw thing is very pronounced.

MOM - he's only got 4 teeth; two came at at 9 months and two more about a month ago. He has always had the jaw thing but it has got more noticeable since the teeth came...
