Bartholins sodding cyst/abcess - any advice/experience out there?

had two op's to fix this prob - about um, 10 years ago now (i think) but currently have a recurrence. hurts like hell sometimes, annoying the rest of the time.

saw doc today and got antibot's so im sure it'll be ok soon enough, but i wondered; does anyone know about these things? is there anything i can do to actually stop it happeneing again? why didnt the 'marsupialisation's work? and why is my sodding sex life cursed? think i'll just be celibate from now on

oh, i had one of these about 7 years ago. i had the op too, & no probs since (including 2 vaginal births). sorry, not much help, but i remember how horribly painful it was. maybe you need a gynae referral from your gp if the antibiotics don't work. hope you get better soon.

i spose it worked well enough for about a decade, and have had 3 vaginal births in that time also, so shouldnt grumble.

think i will seek some more in-depth care/advice whether the antibots work or not.

bugger it all, baby has just woken so cant stay to monitor for more answers...grrrr.
