I'm 46 so this could be a sign of impending menopause I suppose.
Basically my periods are usually 5 days long with 1 light day, 2 very very heavy and then tailing off.
This month my period was a day late in starting. When it began it was very pale with blobs of brownish blood in a lot of stringy mucus. It lasted about 24 hours and then stopped. After a break of about 24 hours back it came - bright red and normal for my period. Then it stopped........ It has repeated this pattern since Saturday.......
Having just emptied my mooncup I can report the blood is very liquid and the bleeding has now stopped.
I realise most of that is TMI. I would feel foolish going to the gp to say my period was all 'strange' but somehow I can splurge the details all over the interweb!
