Botox for anal fissure

Anyone had it? Does it work.
I'm 3 weeks into diltiazem cream and whilst it is getting better, it's still painful. The consultant said botox is the next step, so I'm just getting my head around the prospect, before seeing consultant again in 3 weeks time.
Thanks

Hi there,

Last week I had my follow up with a consultant following 8 weeks using the same cream. I felt better up until 4 weeks using the cream and 1 hard poo ruined it. I'm now booked in to have the botox injection in a few weeks time. I have been told it will be a day case so won't need to stay in etc. My advice is to please make sure you keep your stools as soft as possible and i'm sure the cream will work for you.
