blood pressure is it a good idea to get this down a bit?

Is it a one-off reading? If so, you really need to do several readings over a few days to see what your bp is, preferably after ten minutes or so of rest.

That's absolutely fine. My blood pressure was way above that before I started medication a couple of months ago. Will get back to you with more info - have to go now sorry

Mine went up to 212/122 when I was in labour

yes it was just that I saw the doctor and the computer told her I hadn't by blood pressure taken for a number of years.

It was just that she said "well I'll let that go" after and I thought perhaps that indicated it was higher than it should be.

Just mildly concerned as my brother had a heart attack and subsequently heart usrgery three years ago and he is three years older thanme

Here is a good site about BP reading and what is considered normal or not

My BP is 110/70, so your's isn't much higher than mine and still within normal ranges.

thank you for that, I didn't realise the relationships between them were some complex..

I have put that in my favourites so that i can look at it at leisure
