OK, so this sounds utterly bonkers, but has anyone else experienced this? Many years ago I had the Worst Cold Ever and ever since I have had a runny nose whenever I eat or drink something hot (that's temperature-wise, not spice-wise). It's basically a massive pain because I am always sniffing and blowing my nose at meals.
Recently I've started getting a runny nose whenever I eat cold things too. I am mightily fed up with having to be primed with a handkerchief at any mealtime, and am a bit worried about the impression it's going to make in my new job - if I have to go to professional dinners, it's not going to appeal if I am blowing my nose throughout.
What I want to know: is this even a thing? If I talked to my GP about it would they put me down as a time-waster and send me on my way? Is there anything you can do about it, or am I stuck with the amazing perma-runny nose for ever?
