The return of the curse!

Hi mums

I'm just wondering how other people's cycles returned after giving birth. Isaac is nearly 8 months old and I got my first period a little over a month ago (I've been breastfeeding so I've had the pleasure of a delayed return). Before I was pregnant, my cycle was like clockwork, every 26 days and I'm sat here now thinking "well, come on then. Where's my period". Please tell me I'm not pregnant!!!!

Reassurance please!!

can't be much help because I can't remember with either DS1 or DS2. Like you I had no periods while bf and I just forgot, it took me by surprise every time

until the time it didn't, that heralded DS2

I got mine approx 6 weeks after birth. BF was not a success for me so only continued for one month.

It may well take a while for your system to get back to normal if you have been bfeeding for so long.

If you are worried you can always do a pregnancy test (sorry for stating the obvious)

I know but I'm too scared to! I have said if it's not arrived by Saturday I'll do one. If I am pregnant...blimey!! I'm about to go back to work again so it wouldn't be very good timing at all. And financially, we'd be up *&%$ creek!! (Sorry to sound so rude but it's true!!)
