Hi All, 22 weeks and was wondering if they gave you a slightly milder antibiotic while you were pregnant?? If not, is it safe for them?

Going to the doctor today, but not sure whether he'll suggest them or not.

Drs will prescribe certain antibiotics during pregnancy depending on what is wrong. Some infections such as a urinary infection need to be treated as they can affect the pregnancy. Most antibiotics can still be used.HTH

Okay thanks, I think I have a throat infection or something, had slight temps last night and feel a bit faint this AM, not sure what it is really.

Yes on specialists advice I look very strong Ab's during pregnancy, Metronidazole 400 week on week off from weeks 18 - 34. Clearly labelled not for use during pregnancy.

However, if you can can manage without, do so. rest for a few days, it should pass
