Swollen Gland in Armpit

I have had an enlarged gland in my left armpit for over a year.

I had a fine needle aspiration done on it in April, and then again in August. Both came back fine.

It's still enlarged though and even feels as though it has become bigger than before (might be imagining that, hard to say!)

I had a mammogram in August and an ultrasound in both April and August which were both fine.

Am not sure why it's still enlarged and not going down in size if i'm well?

Any ideas anyone?

I have one in my neck it has now been enlarged for 16 years. I just check it for changes once a month other than that I ignore it.

Thanks lonecat, did the GP ever say why it might not go down?

Consultant ENT surgeon says sometimes they enlarge in response to infection in my case probably sinusitis and never settle.
