Been having alot of itching in both ears for a while now&also some discomfort/pain in them on&off
My left one is particularly playing up at mo&when ive just had good scratch at it again theres bits of dried blood(scabs?)
I know i should probably get them syringed but havent got round to it in a LONG time!
Is any of this signs of an infection?

Probably just where you have been itching. Before you get them syringed put olive oil in them to soften the wax.

needtobediscreet · 22/02/2014 12:58

I agree, warmed olive oil works v well to get rid of ear wax.

Musicaltheatremum · 22/02/2014 13:46

Don't get them syringed. Sounds like you have inflammation/infection in the outer ear canal. Get someone to look in them sometime.

babyjane67 · 22/02/2014 14:28

I wondered that cuz of the intermittrnt pain/discomfort musical
Ive heard somewhere along the line not to have them syringed if tjere is infection there
Praps i should make an app with gp mon

It could be Otitis externa.
Probably best to get checked to get drops or cream.
