dd sore skin behind ears. Advice?

Dd age nearly 7 has persistant sore skin behind her ears. We've tried Oilatum or Sudocrem. We try to clean when she lets us. Will try chemist for advice tomorrow but any advice for now?

Could it be eczema? That's quite a common place to have it.

If so, try a little hydrocortisone cream then use emollients to prevent it recurring. The pharmacist should be able to sell you hydrocortisone. If not, you can get it from the GP.

Dd has this at the tops and under the lobes, i was using supreme with no joy and it got infected. I took dd to the gp for this and he said it was exczema. We have a hydrocortisone ointment for it.
