Fasting blood test.

Have a fasting glucose test in the morning, my GP said not to eat for 12 hours before it. My appointment is at 8am, I'll struggle to have dinner over by then, DH is taking DS to Karate.

This site says 8-10 hours. I could do 10 hours easily. I hope that's OK. Confused

I'd do as you've been told unless you want to have to have it repeated.

Why can you not have dinner at different times just this once?

It seems like the sort of thing I'd work around to avoid having to repeat it...

I did explain the logistical issues in my OP.
Anyway, it's a fait accompli as the appointment is for 08:00 in the morning, that's 11.25 hours away.
Dinner was on the table for 20:00 and finished by 20:30. Smile

At our surgery the likelihood of actually getting seen on time at 8.00am would be pretty slim, so I wouldn't sweat being just half an hr out.

What I meant was that you and dh didn't necessarily have to eat together. Anyway, hope the results are good for you Smile .
