Oh deep joy. Quite apart from not being able to eat my way through my period - so I will feel sick all tomorrow, everyone at the hospital is going to know.

Unless I can perfect my mooncup in a single day - I will have tell tale string.

dont worry, hospitals are used to it and think nothing of it..honestly.

threebob · 06/08/2006 22:00

I suppose it happens a lot. It's just crap timing - last time it was supposed to be done I got a stomach bug and they couldn't do it.

Ha, Ha threebob

"crap timing"

Sorry - I've had one done too. They're really not too bad, once you get over the embarrassment.

Did you experience nausea from the bowel prep. I am emetophobic and I don't know why I didn't see that bit until now.

The doctor will insert the tampon back in for you.

Well,mine did

Littlefish is much braver than me- i have had 2.

HORRID!

threebob · 06/08/2006 23:52

You are bloody joking - I think I want to die right now.

No threebob, no sickness. I had to do my own enema thingy at home about 3 hours before I went in. Not pleasant, but better than having someone else doing it.

Hope it goes ok.

Riddo · 07/08/2006 08:19

I've had two, once with a pad (I hate tampons). They have seen everything and while they actually do the deed you are completely out of it anyway and I can't remember a thing afterwards. I just apologise in advance for saying anything odd - pethadine makes me loopy. I didn't feel sick at all either time, just very hungry. I hope it goes well.

Littlefish · 07/08/2006 19:01

That's interesting Riddo, I didn't have any pain relief. Are you in the UK?

On the other hand, I've just remembered that I had a sigmoid colonoscopy so they only investigate the end of the bowel, not all the way up.

The none eating day - shame I couldn't combine it with the 40 hour famine.

it's all done now. Thanks for all the support. I wore a pad and a nurse helped me whip off my pants at the crucial moment and all the men left the room. Then they all came back and looked up my arse - so that's quite funny actually.

Glad it went as well as possible Threebob. LOL at the men leaving the room, but then looking up your arse

notasheep · 09/08/2006 21:53
