A menopause question

I had my tubes and ovaries out five weeks ago due to a high cancer risk.

Prior to that at 46 I was having very regular periods.

I have not had hrt yet as I need to see a specialist due to my cancer risk.

I have had little by way of symptoms apart from a couple of hot episodes at night but very mild.

I am feeling fantastic, great mood good sex drive and very content.

Before I was grumpy and angry and had terrible mood swings and hated dh for about three weeks a month.
I put it down to pmt.

I am now wondering if I had already gone through a lot of the menopause as I had a lot of hot sweaty flushes after dd was born 3 yrs ago.

So is it possible that I had done and that's why the symptoms have been non existent since the removal of my ovaries?

Can that happen and still have regular periods?

I can't offer you any advice but I can direct you to this site, which is very good & full of info. The forum is a bit kittens & hun (IYKWIM) but still worth looking at and/or posting:
